Non-academic bursaries for post-secondary students in Montréal and surrounding regions

Key Partnerships: Roasters Foundation + educational institutions + private individuals

At the Roasters Foundation, we believe we all have a role in ensuring that students have access to high quality education. It’s part of our responsibility to society as a whole.

During the Official Launch of the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex at Concordia University, Roasters Foundation had this to say about investing in education:

Philanthropy, sharing with our fellow citizens, is important if we are to have a civilized, caring and healthy society. It was Winston Churchill who said “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. “The future and excellence of education will need more giving from individuals and foundations, in addition to the support of governments.
Richard J. Renaud

Chairman of the board

With declining public revenues to fund our educational system, it’s clear that the government can no longer do it alone.

The Roasters Foundation has taken the initiative to provide a number of non-academic bursaries to post-secondary students across Québec.

At all levels of their post-secondary studies, students can pursue their educational goals. From heading a single-parent family, to living with any kind of disability, funding is available to those who need it.

Why not make opportunities in education more accessible to students?

Even a small monetary commitment could see a student through three years of schooling, such as the completion of a bachelor’s degree, a professional degree, or give someone the means and encouragement to complete their high school education.

Paying it forward:

The program not only makes an impact today, but has effects that will be felt over the long term, as well. Recipients of our bursaries often tell us that they, too, will one day provide financial assistance to students in need.

Bursaries are available to students at:

  • Polytechnique
  • HEC Montréal
  • Université du Québec à Montréal
  • Université de Sherbrooke
  • Collège Stanstead

Note: For more information on how to apply for one of our bursaries, please contact the educational institution of interest directly.
